Before I start with the "business talk", let me just say I LOVE ALPACAS! I love everything about this business and way of life! I love the animals, I love the fleece, I love the shows, I love making breeding decisions, I love seeing the outcomes of those decisions, and learning what to try next (or repeat). Ok, I'm not so crazy about scooping poop. But everything else I truly love!!!

Elite Alpacas in Eugene, Oregon. The Pacific Northwest is absolutely beautiful, and alpacas do very well in this climate. We have a small herd at this time, and although we acquired our first alpacas in 2000, we have worked on the family farm since 1997. Our goal is to breed the highest quality alpacas with Elite fleece: Royal Baby Fine micron, high frequency high amplitude crimp, and superior fleece density. Of course superior conformation is a requirement. Advice to new breeders: "Don't believe the hype!" that full Peruvian is the only way to get top quality alpacas.
